Weir expands by buying Entropie

The Glasgow-based Weir Group has bought the privately-owned French company Entropie for £6.7million in cash. A water desalination and process contracting specialist, Entropie will, says Weir, strengthen the activities of Weir Westgarth, the group's own desalination, industrial water treatment and project management subsidiary. Most of Entropie's orders are from France and Germany.
