Boost for batch
15 Jan 2000
Batch Information Manager, launched by Honeywell, is claimed to `improve productivity, reduce costs and raise product quality' in batch processes such as food and beverages, speciality chemicals, lubrication oils and plastics. Designed as part of the company's `Uniperformance' software suite, the system operates on virtually any control system, Honeywell claims.
The package uses the Uniperformance database system to analyse data from process sensors and other sources. It also allows temperature and pressure data to be compared with past batches.
