Calibrator mimics lab readings

From Druck, the Model MCX multifunction calibrator is designed to measure and simulate both temperature and electrical parameters to an extremely high level of accuracy. It can also read stored procedures and memorise the results.
Mirroring the capabilities of a laboratory-based instrument, the portable MCX has an overall range of -270 degrees to 1820 degreesC, which enables the calibration of a wide variety of thermocouples and RTDs. The instrument's ability to simulate temperature transmitters also means that 4-20mA system inputs can be calibrated.
According to Druck, an important feature of the MCX is its fast precision cold junction temperature compensation, in which four high accuracy Pt100 sensors give virtually instantaneous adaptation to the ambient temperature.
Simple to use, the MCX contains both an RS232 interface and a PCMCIA disc station through which calibration routines and test results can be read or transferred.
