High temperature metering for refinery applications
15 Jan 2000
Plants such as crude and lube oil refineries, or asphalt plants, need reliable flow sensors that can handle relatively large flow rates and high temperatures. Fisher-Rosemount's response is the Micro Motion Elite CMF300A mass flow and density sensor, created for flow rates from 0-272kg/h and for temperatures from 0-343 degrees C.
Combined with a Model RFT9739 transmitter or the company's Altus platform, the Elite's multiple output capability can provide simultaneous density, temperature and volumetric measurements for slurries, liquids and gases in applications such as vacuum tower feeds and bottoms, coker feeds and FCC feeds.
