Gestra's solution to start-up and shut-down problems in steam heated plants, is the AK35 automatic condensate drain valve.
During start-up, steam condenses as pressure builds up. Conventional steam traps cannot discharge excess condensate at low pressure, causing waterhammer, freezing condensate and surface deformation.
