A new extension pack for the widely-used Mathcad engineering software package includes over 90 functions for calculating water and steam properties.
The formulae used are based on those established as the international standard by the 1967 International Formulation Committee and adopted by ASME. The functions are said to ensure accurate and consistent calculations incorporating the physical properties of steam and water. They are designed for mechnical, chemical, civil, structural and nuclear engineers working in the fields of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, heat transfer and compressible flow.
