Solidex extra
15 Jan 2000
In addition to Hosokawa Micron (see lead story on this page), several other companies used last month's Solidex show to launch new products.
Separation specialist Russell Finex, for example, gave the first European airing to the Eco separator range which is suitable for both powders and liquids. The range comes in four sizes, from 24in to 60in diameter.
Tycon Containers concentrated on the movement of powders with a demonstration of the BPK system for the discharge of viscous bulk materials. Available in standard and UN approved versions for dangerous bulk materials, the system consists of an interchangeable container and discharge station.
Celebrating its 35 years in the solids handling business, Jenco introduced a further range of lean-phase vacuum conveyors, multi-station systems and blending equipment.
Powder handling can create dust problems but sensors such as those shown by PCME can help keep the problem in check. Its DustMASSter monitoring system uses a range of sensors on a digital cable highway for multipoint monitoring of particulates and other process or stack parameters.
