Bigger kegs are better
15 Jan 2000
Requirements for a 75-litre conductive-antistatic plastic keg can now be met by Curtec (enter 370 on enquiry card) who has added the new larger size to complement the existing 26 and 55.5-litre kegs and mini IBC's for applications in the pharmaceutical, chemical and food sectors.
During manufacture or handling of some products, static electricity can lead to substantial problems and the risk of static electricity. Designed in co-operation with an explosives manufacturer to ensure adherence to the most stringent of safety requirements, the high antistatic conductivity and resistivity ( 106 Ohms/cm) is maintained at all times, hence preventing the occurrence of static.
The kegs therefore do not attract dust and remain clean, an important feature especially in applications where hygiene is paramount. Furthermore, the kegs can be emptied easily and completely without loss of valuable ingredients, are reusable, light and economic.
All three kegs in the range are UN-X rated for the international transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous solids and pastes by road (ADR/RIA), sea (IMDG) and air (ICAO).
Curtec can be found on stand 2749.
