Shop-to-top manufacturing

Factory integration from plant floor up through high-level business systems is the goal of a new software system from Wizard Information Systems. The system is based on USDATA's Xfactory manufacturing execution system (MES), which is built on Microsoft's DNA (distributed Internet applications) for manufacturing.
DNA architecture is a comprehensive framework for new business solutions that combines the benefits of the Internet, client/server and PCs.
According to Wizard, the Windows DNA framework represents a unified and integrated approach for building distributed, scaleable, multi-tier applications, allowing organisations to focus on producing and implementing value-added business solutions, rather than on systems integration.
