Construction slows

Market consolidation in the engineering construction sector, coupled with financial and market uncertainty, has prompted a slowdown in orders and a drop in confidence levels, according to a European Construction Industry (ECI) poll. Half of those polled saw a slowdown in their markets in the past six months and 84 per cent felt that growth was stagnant or worse than this time last year.
