Jet car to welcome visitors

Poised for an attempt on the British land-speed record, the Split Second jet car will be performing another task from 11-13 May - welcoming visitors to the C&I Show. The car is capable of accelerating from 0-300mph in six seconds. Its designer and driver, Mark Newby, hopes to break the current record, held by Richard Noble in his Thrust 2 car, at Elvington near York in early June.
