Real-time PLC runs on PCs

GE Fanuc's latest `PC Control' software gives fully integrated soft-PLC functionality on a Windows NT PC. For fast real-time response, it uses NT's multitasking feature to allow the logic engine to run as a high priority task in RAM, while lower priority tasks run concurrently in the background.
