The TB82TC 2-wire analytical transmitter from ABB Automation features 'toroidal conductivity' capability, which means measurements are performed inductively without any electrodes being in direct contact with the process.
The transmitter is ideal for measuring conductivity in chemically aggressive solutions that would corrode, foul or otherwise destroy conventional electrodes. Typical applications would be accurately determining aqueous/organic layers in pharmaceutical separators and in dairy and brewing applications for the detection of product/water interface and CIP detergent strength monitoring.
The TB82TC has Cenelec, FM and CSA intrinsically safe certifications.
