Available in the UK from Technical Sales International, the robust EDAK-Sulzer filter features a motor-driven cleaning device to ensure that pressure loss across the edge filter elements is kept to a minimum.
The filter is as suited to the separation of suspensions as it is to removing solids from liquids with a wide range of viscosities.
The cylindrical filter basket has standard slots of 0.05 to 3.0mm from outside to in. Solids collect on the outside of the basket and are removed by the continuous rotating of the cleaning device which is fitted with up to three scrapers or brushes.
The filtered solid particles fall to the conical bottom of the casing from where they are periodically discharged.
