Titanium pressure vessel shipped
15 Jan 2000
One of the biggest titanium pressure vessels ever fabricated in the UK has been shipped from the Dinnington, Sheffield, factory of RMF Engineering. Destined for DuPont's nylon plant on Teesside, the £750 000, 24m long by 4m diameter vessel was ordered by contractor Fluor Daniel in November 1996. Weighing in at over 30 000kg, it was delivered to site complete with process internals fully installed.
