Triple offset design reduces friction

The highlight of Reiss Engineering's exhibits, on stand E82, is the Triax range of elliptical disc valves. These fulfil a wide application spectrum including high pressure, zero leakage and high frequency operation. The valves employ a triple offset design, in which the seating components contact only at the final point of closure. This gives bi-directional, bubble-tight shut-off with minimal friction.
Triax advances the triple offset concept with an independent seat and seal design. Both the stainless steel/graphite laminated seal and metal or PTFE seat ring can be easily replaced to suit different media or process conditions.
