Anderson Greenwood has supplied a £3m package, comprising high/low pressure pilot operated safety relief valves (POSRV), primary isolation valves and instrument manifolds to Nigeria LNG Ltd for its Bonny Island LNG plant in the Rivers State of Nigeria.
The new ABB MagMaster deal
Under contracts from Paterson Candy Limited, water treatment design and construction engineering contractors to Thames Water, ABB is supplying 60 high-specification MagMaster flowmeters ranging from tubes 1600mm in diameter down to 80mm.
Entec UK to upgrade Dollar
As part of a joint venture with Henry Boot Scotland in a £1.2m design and construct contract awarded by East of Scotland Water, the environmental and engineering consultancy Entec UK has beaten off stiff competition to provide one of the first Sequential Batch Reactor (SBR) plants in Scotland.
NEU heavy metal movement
NEU has completed what it describes as 'one of the most demanding materials handling and processing projects ever undertaken in its 30 year history'. The £1m contract was awarded by Wolstenholme International, manufacturers of metallic pigments and finished metallic inks which are used by the printing and painting industries to create gold and silver effects, as well as in products as diverse as plastics and concrete.
Nuclear Power goes paperless
600 Trendview paperless process recorders are to be installed in the nuclear power stations of the Commonwealth Edison Company (ComEd) in Chicago, Illinois. At a cost of $1.6m the contract covers the control panel refurbishment of Braidwood & Byron PWR nuclear power stations, replacing their old, obsolete conventional paper chart recorders with the Trendview Multitrend and Minitrend paperless recorders.
Honeywell's safety solution
Honeywell Control Systems is to supply an integrated control and safety solution valued at $1.2m for Mobil North Sea's LAPS (Lancelot Area Pipeline System) onshore gas compression project which is to be based at the Bacton gas terminal in Norfolk. The compressor will enhance Mobil's gas production from the LAPSfacilities.
