Membranes offer bags of performance for pulse jets

Described as the `next generation' in dry particulate filtration for pulse jet baghouses, the Amazon filter bags from W L Gore combine the company's Gore-Tex membrane material with an aramid felt for operation up to 204 degrees C. To withstand the effects of hydrolysis and acids, the bags feature a special treatment that permeates the entire felt, creating a protective coating that is said to shield against the damaging combination of temperature, moisture and chemical attack.
Capable of withstanding the 4.5 to 6bar bursts of compressed in a baghouse cleaning cycle, the bags feature a specially developed dense, needle-punched felt.
