Vacuum aids solid blends

For many years, mixing and blending specialist Joshua Greaves has been aware of the problems of blending powder into liquid by using a vacuum to pull the powder into the liquid stream.
Recent work carried out by Greaves using Liquivac pumps to blend diesel and pigment powder has resulted in a successful new venture for the two companies. The Liquivac is a liquid ring vacuum pump designed for liquids or combinations of liquids, air, emulsions and fine solids. Balanced proportions of liquid and powder are pulled into the pump and premixed before final blending.
