Eastman equipment

This Eastman polyethylene terephthalate plant is to be the recipient of £3million-worth of pneumatic weighing and conveying equipment from Surrey-based Neu Engineering. The plant, at Zarate, Argentina, produces PET for the soft drinks bottling market which is growing rapidly across Latin America, especially in Brazil.
Neu is supplying 24 conveying systems: three dilute-phase, closed loop nitrogen systems to carry terephthalic acid from silos into the process, and 21 low-velocity, high-pressure systems to carry the intermediate and final products, in the form of pellets at up to 210 degrees C, through the plant.
