New name and profile for W-M
15 Jan 2000
From the beginning of the year Watson-Marlow has taken on a new identity as Watson-Marlow Bredel Pumps. The merger between the `world's leading low-flow tube pump manufacturer (Watson-Marlow) and the market-leading high-flow, high-pressure hose pump manufacturer (Bredel)' means that the products of both companies - already partners within the Spirax Sarco group - are now available direct from the same source, Watson-Marlow Bredel.
The combined range of peristaltic tube and hose pumps offers flowrates from microlitres to megalitres per hour, at pressures up to 16bar. `What the largest Bredel pump can deliver in one minute,' says sales and marketing director Chris Gadsden, `would keep Watson-Marlow's smallest pump running for over 12,000 years.'
Among the benefits claimed for the merger are: direct support from the manufacturer; next-day delivery on hoses, lubricants and other spares; and a dedicated team of 17 sales and support engineers.
