Inflatable seals offer positive solutions

Posi-flate is presenting a selection of inflatable-seated butterfly valves for dry solids processing and liquid slurry applications on stand 305. The valves range 2in to 30in diameters and they have an array of seat elastomers including Buna N, poly-urethane, silicone, EPDM and fluoroelastomer.
Valve disc materials range from cast iron, stainless steel to a newly introduced nylon version.
Through an actuated valve operating on the stand, visitors can see how air pressure expands the seat against the disc, eliminating seat impingement and providing maximum sealing area and even pressure distribution against the disc.
Also on show is the Magna flow control valve, which has a micrometer dial to provide 110 precise setpoints for accurate flow control of gases or liquids.
