Lancashire Dairies in Manchester has been driving to increase its production flexibility in the UK for its longlife milk products. Their new installation, supplied and commissioned by Tetra Pak, has three processing modes so that ultrapasteurised, ESL and UHT products can be produced from the same plant. The Tetra Therm Aseptic Plus Two, the first of its kind in the UK, can steam treat or heat treat through tubular heat exchangers.
