Alfa Laval regroups to form Flow specialists

Alfa Laval is creating a new group from its stable of pump, valve and pipe manufacturers. The new company, FLOW, will have annual sales of over £210 million and will operate in two markets: hygienic industries such as food, pharmaceuticals and biotech, and in the industrial sector, specialising in water, power, chemicals and heating.
Incorporated into FLOW are some well known names such as LKM of Denmark, Saunders Valve, pump manufacturers IBEX and SSP, and Tri-Clover, Via, Depa and Elro. The future focus of FLOW will be new products with at least two new products planned for 1999.
