Playing safe with ELSI

The East London Sludge Incineration project (ELSI), currently under construction for Thames Water at Beckton and Crossness, is to be fitted with a high integrity emergency shutdown system from Rotork Instruments. The £270000 system will monitor alarm status of the two plants which between them will process up to 180000tpa of waste from 1.5million homes.
