Vacuum valves

The Muller Co-Ax valve range, available through electropneumatics specialist KV Automation Systems, is suited for the control of vacuum, liquid and gaseous media, including those which are abrasive or aggressive.
The valves can be actuated either internally or externally, in both cases by a solenoid. Pneumatic or hydraulic actuation is also possible; in this case, the external solenoid would control a pilot valve. Both 2/2 and 3/2-way versions of the valves are available.
The valves are constructed around a spring-loaded central tube, which allows process media to flow through without significant change to their axial flow, says the company. The exit end is sealed off by a fixed piston. When the valve is actuated, the tube moves away from the piston, so the fluids can leave the valve.
