Versatile package for water treatment
15 Jan 2000
The focus on stand 227, temporary home to chemical feed specialist USF Wallace & Tiernan, is on compact, fully assembled packages for liquid and power handling and metering.
Skid- or rig-mounted equipment is available for a variety of applications, from fluoridation to large-scale chlorination.
Wallace & Tiernan's wide range of water treatment equipment means that these prefabricated packages can deal with almost any process requirement and, through the company's disinfection management system (DMS), can link directly to SCADA or other control systems. The DMS system can be upgraded to give 24-hour graphic data and recall archived data.
Also on the stand is a working exhibit of W&T's new Rapidly Assimilable Chemical Oxygen Demand meter, or RACOD. This biological load monitor for biological oxygen demand has been extensively tested at six sites in the UK and Australia.
