Now in their fifth year, the Manufacturing Industry Achievement Awards (MIAAs) have once again started the process that will end with this year's winners being announced at a gala evening on 22 September at London's Grosvenor House Hotel.
Organised by Process Engineering's parent company, Miller Freeman, led by sister title The Engineer and others in Miller Freeman's engineering group of magazines, the 1998 MIAAs will recognise the best in British industry, whether it stems from technology, management skills or people.
The award categories include: Manufacturer of the Year, Engineering Team of the Year and Exporter of the Year. In addition to five product award categories, there will also be innovation awards for mechanical, automotive, aerospace and process engineering (sponsored by PE).
The growing importance of the awards is underlined by the addition this year of Eutech to the list of supporters.
