Pump manufacturer Grundfos has joined forces with distributors John Gaunt and BSS to offer an inspection, maintenance and repair service for its products. The `Contract Pump Maintenance' service will handle scheduled overhauls during plant shutdowns, and should improve response times in emergencies, says Grundfos.
ITT Jabsco is to be known simply as Jabsco in future, it has announced. The move is part of parent company ITT's drive to strengthen fluid technologies as a key business unit.
Walsall-based Nemo Pumps is to change its name to Netzsch Nemo-Pumps, in recognition of its increased export trade to Europe.
Sales of JP Pumps' rotary lobe unit, the TopLobe, have exceeded all expectations in the six months since its launch, the company says. `The key factor is the speed and easy nature of maintenance and cleaning,' explains JP managing director Peter Staddon. `The major difference from traditional lobe pumps is the front-loading seals which allow quick turn round to take place during cleaning and sterilisation. This means less downtime.'
