Pure magnetism for high-pressure usage

A new range of magnetically-driven high speed pumps from HMD Seal/less offers leak-free operation even at high pressures, the company claims. The units, part of the GS range, also offer considerable running cost savings, it adds.
The savings come from the combination of rare-earth magnet synchronous coupling technology with efficient hydraulics, which maximise the pump speed. Optional equipment includes a power control monitor for underload and overload protection; liquid or flow sensors, to prevent dry running; and thermocouples or resistance thermometers to ensure that operating temperatures are maintained.
The pumps cover an operating range up to 58m head and 27m3/hr pumping rate. They can operate at temperatures from -40 degrees C to 150 degrees C.
