Enhanced PLC takes on the market

From Schneider comes the new Modicon TSX Micro PLC, which features several enhancements for a controller aimed at small and medium sized systems which require up to 328 I/O.
With the addition of the sequential function chart language Grafcet, the TSX now has a choice of three programming options (the others being ladder logic and instruction list).
A further enhancement of the latest version is its ability to perform floating point maths, which is said to make the TSX extremely well suited for high accuracy, high speed applications.
New copy and paste functions have also been added to speed up programming time. Communication is available using multi-protocol PCMCIA cards operating via RS232, RS485 or current loop.
