Diverse Flowserve range is leak-free
15 Jan 2000
Flowserve's new range of non-metallic pumps is designed to deliver reliable and leak-free performances, the company claims. Available in sealed or sealless configurations, the pumps are available in four designs, dubbed the M-, S-, F- and L-series.
The M-series pumps are heavy-duty units, featuring an enclosed impeller and silicon carbide rotating shaft. The S-series, meanwhile, are designed for corrosive fluids, with a range of off-the-shelf mechanical sealing options to suit different fluids.
The F-series are made from fibre-glass reinforced plastic and are mechanically sealed to provide toughness as well as corrosion resistance. The pumps, designed for industrial sumps, waste ponds and tank car unloading, are available as ANSI centrifugal and self-priming models.
The L-series are ANSI units with a mechanical seal system. A large section of the seal and the springs remain stationary in the pump chamber, allowing the seal to flex to match any deflection of the shaft.
