Compact flanges cut installation

Vacuum-brazed compact flanges of DN-type are being introduced on SWEP's heat exchangers for district heating. So far, these flanges have been developed for sizes B35, B45, B50, B57 and B65.
The new flanges, with shorter and more compact connections, will cut installation time by 50 per cent, claims SWEP. The collars of the flanges are also smaller than conventional ones. They can be placed side by side at the same distance above the plate pack without obstructing each other, which also gives a shorter installation time and makes them easier to insulate.
