Flowmeter hits fourth design
15 Jan 2000
The fourth generation of sensor/transmitter products to be launched by Burkert, the Type 8045 insertion Magflowmeter is suitable for applications ranging from wastewater treatment to the chemical and food industries.
Featuring solid-state technology with no moving parts, the 8045 comes in the same pipe sizes (12 to 8in) and with the same output signals as Burkert's range of paddlewheel flow transmitters. It provides 4-20mA, calibrated pulse and two relay outputs.
As with the paddlewheel instruments, the 8045 has an 8-digit LCD display for both flow and volume. It is programmable in chosen engineering units, with various language options, via three buttons in an IP65 enclosure.
Said to be ideally suitable for application with liquids of conductivity greater than 20 S, it is available with fittings of stainless teel, brass, PVC, PP, PE or PVDF, in a wide range of connections including welded, threaded, flanged or Tri-clamp.
