Aspen opts for Microsoft

Further evidence that the process industries could soon be a Microsoft-only zone comes with the news from Aspen Technology that its commitment to develop on that platform has been rewarded by it being named a Microsoft Certified Solution Provider partner.
AspenTech also says that its Aspen Advisor and Batch.21 products now support Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 (the latest version for NT), and its Windows trending and analysis software, Process Explorer, has received the `Designed for Windows' logo.
Certified Solution Provider partners are independent companies that team up with Microsoft to solve various business challenges.
