Shurflo launches three low-flow pumps

Low-flow applications are the target for three new developments from Shurflo. The pumps, based on diaphragm technology, give high performance without sacrificing reliability, claims the company.
The 8000 series is designed to operate at pressures up to 10 bar. Fitted with a solid diaphragm and a powerful motor, the pump can handle chemical solutions at temperatures up to 87 degrees C, and can handle flow-rates up to 5litre/min. A built-in pressure switch starts and stops the pump automatically, while an internal bypass system adjusts the pump flow when the outlet line is restricted.
For light duties, Shurflo has launched a range of battery-powered miniature diaphragm pumps. For use in portable equipment such as pest control equipment or cleaning sprays, the units operate at pressures up to 2.1 bar and deliver flow-rates up to 3.8litre/min.
Another new development has arisen by combining the 8000 series, and the 2088 series, with new induction-type motors. These units give `exceptional reliability over a service life as much as ten times longer than the previous norm,' says Shurflo.
