Simulation takes off

Process Systems Enterprise (PSE), the spin-off company from Imperial College London, is about to unveil release 1.7 of its gPROMS simulation package.
The new version, says PSE, will complete the transition of gPROMS from `academic software' to a fully functioning industrial-strength tool. The transition has been on-going since PSE's launch in 1997 and, the company says, means that `the academic label is simply no longer true, although we continue to benefit from Imperial's outstanding research'.
