PlantWeb scores at Swords

Fisher-Rosemount is to supply a PlantWeb solution to Bristol-Myers Squibb for the health care company's Swords site in Dublin. An F-R DeltaV process control system will be at the heart of the project controlling a solvent recovery plant
A feature of the installation, says F-R, is the intrinsically-safe I/O that DeltaV offers. This removes the need for external IS barriers, resulting in a more cost-effective solution.
The project also contains a Fieldbus Foundation component, consisting of an H1 card mounted alongside standard I/O modules on the same carrier, as well as 12 Foundation fiedbus devices.
