Meggitt Mobray's MLT100 displacement level transmitter is said to offer high functionality and Hart compatibility in an instrument that is smaller and lighter and cheaper than alternative products.
The MLT100 has a very wide operating temperature range from -60 to +320 C, and pressure range from full vacuum to 200bar, and can be used with any liquid with specific gravities in the range of 0.1 to 2.0.
The transmitter head is manufactured in cast iron with an epoxy coating suitable for offshore use as standard. Wetted parts are of stainless steel and special coatings and materials for other applications are also available. It can be mounted directly in the vessel or in an external chamber for access.
The MLT100 is compatible with Mobrey's H-View package for PC-based SCADA applications. By polling Hart devices on the network, the software offers statistical analysis and reporting of historical data, options to create realtime plant graphics, and a suite of alarm and control functions.
H-View also provides an interface to all the Hart facilities for instrument interrogation, calibration and ranging.
