Industry issues Cogen call

Energy generators across Europe are urging the European Commission to support the cogeneration of heat and power. Industry groups COGEN Europe and Eurelectric want an average 30% of European power to be generated by cogen by 2010, more than four times the current amount. This would cut CO2 emissions by a fifth, they claim.
