Low voltage controller
15 Jan 2000
Cal Controls has introduced an energy efficient, low voltage version of its series 3200 controller, designed to meet the EU Low Voltage Directive. This safety requirement is aimed at reducing risk in the workplace and discouraging the use of mains powered equipment.
The 1/32 DIN 12V or 24V versions will operate between 9-40V dc and 8-30V ac. It offers a stability of 0.15 and resolution is switchable between 1 and 0.1. Input can be selected from any of 10 common thermocouples, Pt100 or five linear analogue ranges over a user selectable span of -200 to 9999.
Calibration can be trimmed on site and the device offers diagnostic and performance monitoring as standard. The fascia is protected to IP66 waterproof standard. A second output is standard for heat/cool applications.
