The latest version of Mathcad, the popular desktop calculation and documentation software for engineers and scientists, features a broad range of `user-driven productivity enhancements', according to UK distributor Adept Scientific.
Mathcad Professional 2000 includes `light' versions of two popular complementary packages - Axum, a technical graphing program, and SmartSketch, the latest version of Intergraph's 2D parametric drawing, diagramming and CAD package Imagineer.
Mathcad has long had extensive numeric and symbolic functionality, and Professional 2000 adds even more mathematical ability. There's a new ODE solve block to automate the solving of ordinary differential equations, together with new curve-fitting functions, extended root-finding algorithms, and numeric data display formats with engineering and scientific notation.
