Switch off the high pressure
15 Jan 2000
Amot Controls is introducing a range of pressure switches which are modular in design, small and lightweight.
The A series uses a switch which works on a force balance principle where incoming pressure operates a diaphragm and piston assembly. The movement is opposed by an adjustable spring, and at the required setting operates a microswitch.
The A switch can be mounted onto equipment via a threaded connection in the boss end, attached to a standard DIN rail for cabinet mounting, or fitted on its own or with other switches onto a manifold block. The body of the switch is made from aluminium alloy and the end boss material can be produced from aluminium, brass or stainless steel, depending on the operating media.
The A switches can be used on engines, compressors and other rotating machinery. Pressure ranges are in steps between 0.28bar and 34.5bar.
