RMC posts Rugby bid

Ready-mixed concrete manufacturer RMC has issued a £896million for Rugby Cement. If the bid - which has been accepted by Rugby's board - goes through, the merged company will be the world's sixth largest cement producer with a capacity of some 19.5milliontpa.
