Non-stick answer to a foul problem

A super-nonstick material developed at the University of Portsmouth could pave the way towards anti-fouling coatings. Made by replacing hydrogen atoms in silicones and acrylates with fluorine atoms, the material is resistant to the glycoprotein `glue' secreted by bacteria.
