EVC explores vinyl frontier

A new process to produce vinyl chloride monomer directly from ethane is the focus of an alliance between EVC International and Bechtel. EVC has started planning the first full-scale plant based on the process, which has been developed at its Wilhelmshafen site in Germany (see News Analysis, p12).
