DSM expands pharma pilot

DSM has opened an extension to its fine chemicals division's pilot plant facility at Venlo, the Netherlands. The plant is used to scale-up production of of advanced intermediates and pharmaceuticals active ingredients, and to test new production methods. The company hopes that the extension will allow it to speed up drug development.
