Control system beats the batch

Bran+Luebbe has recently made modifications to its Minipond 25BMN filling/emptying control system. The system is based on the on-line ability to measure and control the material flowrate.
The modifications, which were trialed in Germany and Italy, were to allow the Minipond to handle batch weighing systems where flow rates change suddenly and by large proportions.
For the trial, the modified unit was installed on a nett weight batching conveyor - which was run for several days weighing bicarbonate and pallets with frequent changeover from one to another.
The task was to fill the material into 25kg sacks within a batching time of 2.3s. The system beat the required batching time by 35 per cent within +/-20g.
