Heat pipe keeps your heat on site
15 Jan 2000
Plants using extraction systems to remove airborne pollutants, contaminants or moisture, run the risk of removing valuable heat in the process. To tackle this problem, S&P Coil Products (SPC) has introduced an innovative style of heat pipe that is capable of recovering up to 75 per cent of the heat normally wasted in exhaust air.
Unlike conventional recovery heat exchangers, which rotate in and out of the waste stream, SPC's unit has no moving parts. And, being a passive device activated by temperature differences, it also has no direct running costs.
The pipe is available in a range of durable materials to withstand corrosive environments.
