Cast-iron pumps are `trouble-free'
15 Jan 2000
Lubricating oils and printing inks are among the target markets for Pump Engineering's new range pf self-priming external gear pumps. Built out of cast iron, the GVR range is `efficient, economical and trouble-free,' its makers claim.
The pump contains hardened steel gears with wear-resistant bearings and carbon, stainless steel and Viton mechanical seals. and operates at temperatures up to 140 degrees C and pressures up to 10 bar. An internal relief valve, available on all pumps in the range, protects the pump against overpressure.
